IICARs-FLU (Iowa Italian Cars) is a hopeful future chapter of FLU. I joined FLU offically in the summer of 2008 via the Chicagoland Chapter. I'm still a current member of the CHI-FLU group and plan to stay that way. I have so enjoyed being part of FLU and the Chicago Chapter, but due to the distance, I would hope to form a local chapter so I can be more involved and attend more Fiat related events. I currently have 2 spiders, 74 Punken and 75 Cherry Bomb 1 (CB1). I'm keeping an eye open for a bargin on an X1/9 to help my son restore. If we can assembly a motley crew of Fiat/Lancia owners here in the Iowa territory, I would submit an official chapter request to the national FLU to put IICARs on the FLU map. I have seen and met a few Fiat owners here in Iowa and have struggled to get those owners to show interest in an Iowa Chapter. If you have an interest in helping me form FLU's newest chapter, we can plan some short road trips, Ice Cream runs, even a tech session or two. Contact me and we can grow this future chapter together.
